So when the boyfriend and I heard that the Winterlicious is starting from January 31 - February 13, we've decided to try it. Unfortunately, there is only one day that we can do it. We tried to sort and filter all the 210 restaurants all around Toronto. These restaurants offers a three-course meals lunch and/or dinner; ranging prices $15, $20, $25 for lunch and $25, $35, $45 for dinner. They also made a special menu just for this event featuring their specialities and what they are proud to serve at their restaurant.
We have decided to go to Oliver & Bonacini at Bayview Village not just because their menu looks amazing but also because my brother had co-op at that said restaurant and from what I heard from my brother their food is amazing and delicious.
For appetizer I chose the Yellow Corn Tortilla Soup
It is just your typical Tortilla Soup but much better, it is much creamier and the tortilla on top is so crispy.
For my main entree I chose the Blackened Haddock Hot Pot
I absolutely loved this. I had a chance to have a same dish at Pickel Barrel and I can't find it anywhere but now I do. But I was hoping that Oliver & Bonacini will still have them on their menu but they don't :(
I forgot what this is called but basically it is a chocolate jello with a little bit of tangy taste to it.
To me personally, I didn't really like it but its worth a try.
